Subway Library was a partnership between the New York City MTA and the New York Public Library to promote free, new Wi-Fi and cell service on underground platforms across the city. This is a disruptive form of advertising where the rider is fully immersed in the promotion.
This whole-train-takeover mimicked the NYPL’s wooden chairs and rows of books while encouraging riders to download eBooks through using the new MTA Wi-Fi.
